Mercy Chefs is in need of a much larger freezer for our "Storehouse" -- our warehouse in Alabama that is strategically located to provide quick access to the nation's tornado and hurricane disaster zones.

+ + Critical need to feed folks here at home...

This Storehouse already helps facilitate the feeding of hundreds of thousands of Americans facing disaster and hardship. But our Storehouse currently only has a very small freezer. This greatly restricts our ability to receive large-scale donations of frozen meats from companies like Tyson Foods and Omaha Steaks.

High-quality protein is a vital aspect of Mercy Chefs' mission to provide the best and most nutritious meals to hurting families -- both during disasters and for our ongoing outreach efforts.

That's why I'm asking for your help to add a significantly larger freezer to our Storehouse so we can receive over 100,000 pounds of frozen proteins -- that's beef, chicken and other proteins for over a quarter million meals we'll provide to those facing disaster and hardship.

It will cost $200,000 to purchase, install and maintain this new freezer to help us feed hundreds of thousands of people this year. And I want to get this done in the next 30 days.

Can you help?

Would you consider matching or even doubling your best gift in the past year to help us get this freezer in place before the summer storm season? Go here to make your gift:

Adding this freezer is undoubtedly the single most important thing we can do to prepare for this summer's hurricane season. With this freezer in place, we can more efficiently and effectively provide the best possible meals to those in need.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support. And thanks in advance for your help with this special project.

May God bless you,

Gary LeBlanc, Mercy Chefs
