Two Critical Updates: North Carolina and Hurricane Milton

I can say that Mercy Chefs has never faced a disaster relief scenario like what is upon us right now.

First, in North Carolina, the situation remains critical. Yesterday, Mercy Chefs served over 10,000 meals and we are still reaching communities that have had little to no help. One woman (pictured here)
we served was so grateful for the meals and told us...

"This is the first hot meal we have had in a long time."

The devastation in North Carolina still feels overwhelming. The death toll from this storm is now well over 200. Homes and businesses have been washed away. Many areas will be weeks without basic utilities.

We must continue to provide this lifeline of hope and hot meals in western North Carolina.

At the same time, Mercy Chefs is mobilizing back to Florida for what forecasters are now calling a ONCE IN A LIFETIME storm.

Hurricane Milton is now expected to make landfall late tomorrow into Thursday around Tampa, bringing with it the potential for devastating and deadly winds, storm surge and flooding.
